What should my rabbit eat every day?

Hay, hay and more hay. Here's how to build a healthy daily menu for your bunny.

Hay is the main course

Rabbits' teeth grow constantly, and chewing long fibers wears them down. Hay also keeps their gut moving. Offer an amount at least as big as your rabbit, every day.

Greens and herbs

Romaine, parsley, coriander, basil and dandelion leaves are all good choices. Add one new green at a time and watch for soft stools.

Treats and what to avoid

Fruit and carrots are sweet treats, not staples. Avoid iceberg lettuce, bread, and anything chocolatey.
